Reporting & Virsyn Analytics

Enterprise-grade business intelligence and reporting. Built into your POS.

Every report is worked out from the same orders your till takes, so the numbers add up from the first docket to the month's total.

One meaning per number. On every report.

Gross sales, net sales and total collected mean the same thing wherever you read them. Every figure is ex GST, and tips are shown for staff, never counted as sales.

Sales summary

Every dollar explained. From item sales to total collected.

Service fee, discounts, comps and refunds each sit on their own line, down to net sales. Then GST and tips take you to what was collected, by payment type.

Reports · Sales · Sales summary
The sales summary for July: item sales $86,438.68, service fee, discounts, comps and refunds down to net sales $84,017.05, then GST and tips up to total collected $94,661.02
Menu engineering

Every dish earns its place. Or shows you it doesn't.

Each dish is plotted by how often it sells and what it makes after recipe cost, ex GST. Dishes without a recipe cost are left out, never shown at 100% margin.

Reports · Menu & product mix · Menu engineering
Menu engineering for July: 38 Stars, 33 Plowhorses, 35 Puzzles and 35 Dogs, with each dish plotted by units sold and margin per item
Labour

What each day made. Against the hours it took.

Net sales and estimated labour cost for every day: hours worked × each person's hourly rate. A quiet Tuesday that costs more than it makes stops hiding in a good week.

Net sales vs labour for July: net sales $84,017.05, estimated labour cost $26,431.63, left after labour $57,585.42, with a bar for each day
Cash drawers

The drawer adds up. Or you know who closed it.

Every cash drawer close shows the float, what Virsyn expected, what was counted, the difference, and who opened and closed it.

Cash drawer sessions for July: 34 closed, net variance minus $214.60, each close with who opened and closed it
Location league

Every venue you own. Side by side.

The business owner sees one table ranking each venue on net sales, orders, average order and labour %. Every other report runs one venue at a time, so no figure blends two venues.

Location league table for July: six venues ranked by net sales ex GST, with change on June, orders, average order and labour %
Numbers you can lodge from

Built the way your accountant thinks.

GST stored on every lineWorked out when the order is made and kept with it, so changing an item's tax later doesn't change past figures.

Your trading day, not midnightSales land on the day your venue traded, set by your closeout time. A refund comes off the original order's day.

Delivery apps kept apartUber Eats and DoorDash have their own Marketplace report and stay out of your sales and GST figures.
